Castor Oil

Castor Oil

Castor Oil has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits for the skin and helps in wrinkle reduction. Use in limited quantities and lightly.

Note the rest has not been scientifically proven as I know it to be true but could be so here you are:

Rubbing castor oil on your scalp and the roots of your hair will regenerate new hair growth within months. This will also thicken thinning hair. The anti-bacterial and anti-fungicidal properties of Ricinoleic Acid in castor oil protects the scalp and hair from infections which can cause hair loss. The Omega-9 fatty acids in castor oil also nourish the hair and prevent the scalp from drying. Castor oil is a humectant as it draws moisture into the hair and skin. Applying castor oil on hair will keep it looking soft, shiny and strong.

Make-up artists use ‘layering’ techniques to stop cosmetics from sliding off the face and disappearing. For eyes, that means fixing pencil liner with a line of powder shadow over it.  ‘It gives the optical illusion of longer lashes.

Make your gloss last longer!

Make your Lip gloss last longer!

Begin with smooth even lips this can be achieved with a sugar / salt paste using either your hand, toothbrush or spooly.

Next, apply a base of color. This is done as a barrier to absorb natural oils from altering the color and as a platform for your gloss. Choices of bases can be concealer, foundation, a similar or light colored lip liner or a matte lipstick of a similar color.

Then press the base into the lips by pressing them into each other.

Last apply your gloss, if you want even more lasting power line your lips with a lip liner.

Do you need an eye cream?

Well it depends, do you use a face moisturizer? If the answer is no and you believe you may need attention around the eye area then an eye cream is ideal. Eye creams provide moisture to the intended area and can also cure other undesirable such as darkening and folding. However, if you are already using an all over face moisturizer an eye cream my not be necessary. Jeffrey Benabio, MD, a dermatologist at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. "Eye creams are just variations of facial moisturizers," he says. Both may contain antioxidants to help minimize wrinkles and other ingredients that help tighten skin. Unlike many facial moisturizers, however, eye creams don't usually contain sunscreen, and you get a lot less product for a lot more money.
